Our Company

Journey's End Carriage, Inc. is a retail distributor of fine equine related goods from all over the world.  We have over thirty years of experience identifying quality vehicles and merchandise and bringing them to a broad base of customers from the United States and over 20 other countries.  The company was the creative concept of Harvey Lagasse who started Journey’s End in 1975 in New England.  As a hobby, Harvey would tour rural areas, identify possible locations and, with permission, search homes and barns for carriages and other antiquities, then consign them on behalf of the owner.  To this day, consignment of merchandise is still an important part of Journey's End Carriage, Inc.

In the 80’s, Harvey expanded to distribute harness and other equine needs, and in the 90’s, began to sell new carriages.  In 1995, Journey’s End became one of the first carriage distributors to bring European designed and manufactured combined driving vehicles to the United States.  In 1999, Harvey's children, Andy and Aubree, took over the family business but Harvey continues to be an important cornerstone for clients and business today.

Journey’s End Carriage, Inc.’s contribution to the sport of combined driving has been overwhelming.  We have helped aid manufactures in the creation of lighter, sturdier and safer vehicles.  We have assisted in the development of the rules for competitive driving.  And most importantly, we have strived to bring new products to the marketplace which help aid our customers in gaining a competitive edge.

Today, Journey’s End Carriage visits over 30 driving shows in the United States and distributes for some of the finest manufactures in the world.  Most recently, we carry Bellcrown Carriages from England, WCC Carriages from the U.S., Hunt Harness, Fleck Whips, Lilo Espana leather goods and many others.  Journey’s End also has many exclusive distribution rights.  Harvey has expanded the business to include fine apparel, jewelry and other gifts from Spain, England, Poland, the Middle East and other locations.  In 2002, his son Andy joined the family business and now manages distribution relationships along his side.
